Set the source URL for Nexus Answers
Every answer from Nexus Answers lists the topics it is based on. The source URL is the address where your published content is, for example https://docs.example.com/. Nexus Answers adds each topic's location to it, so readers get a full link to each source page. Links to other topics inside an answer get the same full address.
A source URL is most useful when you use Nexus Answers without Nexus Portal, for example when your content is hosted somewhere else. It also lets the API and MCP give the full address of each source. Without a source URL, they return only the title. To set the source URL:
Select Nexus in the top menu. You are presented with the list of current Nexus projects.

Access the project you want to configure by selecting it in the list.
Select the AI Answers tab.
In the Source URL section, do one of the following:
Use this project's Portal URL: Select this to use your Portal's current address. You only see this when the project has a Portal, and it is selected by default.
Source URL: Clear Use this project's Portal URL and enter the address where your content is published.
Select Save.
The source URL applies to the next answer. You don't need to publish again.
Note
The Portal URL is filled in when you select Save. If it changes later, for example when you add a custom domain, enter the new URL and save again.
To stop using a source URL, clear Use this project's Portal URL and the field, then select Save.
