[en] Salesforce articles can have data categories and you can apply them from Paligo when you publish your content. Here, we summarize what you need to do when applying data categories to a single topic, a collection of topics, or an entire publication. Once you understand what you need to set and how many times you need to publish, you can apply the data categories when you In Salesforce Knowledge veröffentlichen.

[en] Apply the Same Data Categories to All Topics in a Publication
[en] To apply the same data categories to all topics in a publication, follow the instructions in In Salesforce Knowledge veröffentlichen. You choose the data categories that you want in the publishing settings. When you publish, Paligo applies the data categories to every topic that you are publishing.
[en] Apply Different Data Categories to Topics in a Publication
[en] To apply different data categories to topics in a publication, you will need to publish several times. This is because Paligo can only apply one "set" of data categories when you publish. (A set is a collection of one or more data categories).
[en] Here is a summary of what you need to do to apply a mix of data categories to a publication's topics. We assume you are familiar with the publishing process and settings (as described in In Salesforce Knowledge veröffentlichen).
[en] Select the dotted menu ( ... ) for your publication and then select Publish. Choose HTML as the output type and select your Salesforce Layout.
[en] Use the publishing settings to apply your preferences. For the Data Categories, see the next step.

[en] Select the set of Data Categories that you want to use. When you publish, Paligo will apply all of the selected data categories to all of the topics you have chosen to publish.
[en] For example, let's say you want some topics to use a "Technical" data category. Other topics will use a "Power" data category. Here, you will need to publish twice. The first time, you choose the "Technical" data category and then you publish that to the relevant topics only (see next steps). The second time, you choose the "Power" data category and then publish that to the relevant topics.
[en] With the publishing settings in place, select Preflight.
[en] Set Preflight to:
[en] Include the topic that should use your selected data categories
[en] Exclude any topics that need to use different data categories.
[en] Publish to Salesforce Knowledge.
[en] Repeat this process, only this time:
[en] Choose a different set of data categories
[en] Include the topics that relate to the newly selected data categories
[en] Exclude the topics that do not relate to the selected data categories.
[en] Continue to repeat this process until you have published all of the topics you want, with the appropriate data categories.
[en] Apply Data Categories to an Individual Topic
[en] The steps for applying data categories to an individual topic vary, depending on whether you are using a Salesforce Knowledge Layout or a Salesforce Nested Layout.
[en] Here is a summary of what you need to do for each type of Layout. We assume you are familiar with the publishing process and settings, as described in In Salesforce Knowledge veröffentlichen.
[en] If you are publishing a single topic/article, select the dotted menu ( ... ) for the topic and then select Publish. Follow the instructions in In Salesforce Knowledge veröffentlichen and choose the data categories you want to apply.
[en] If you are publishing a publication, you will need to apply the Data Categories you want and then use Preflight to set Paligo to only publish one topic, as described below:
