Set the response style for AI Answers

The response style tells AI Answers what tone and language to use. For example, "Use British English and a professional tone." It applies to every answer the project gives, whether it comes from the widget, the API or MCP.

You can also use it to tell AI Answers how to handle certain questions. For example, "If someone asks about pricing, direct them to our sales team at sales@example.com."

If you leave it empty, AI Answers uses its default style. To set the response style:

  1. Select Nexus in the top menu. You are presented with the list of current Nexus projects.

  2. Access the project you want to configure by selecting it in the list.

  3. Select the AI Answers tab.

  4. In the Response style section, enter your instructions in the Answering style field.

  5. Select Save.

A new response style applies straight away. You don't need to publish again.

Note

The response style can be up to 500 characters. The counter under the field shows how many you have used.

To go back to the default style, clear the field and select Save.
